REVIEW King's Quest Mask of Eternity
Come
once again to the feeric world of Daventry. But this time,it won't be as feeric as it used to be.Why?a bad omen has destroyed the mask of
eternity, keeper of truth, light and order, and scattered it over the land. Now,five pieces of
the mask are hidden in the huge kingdom of Daventry. As the mask was destroyed,a vile
tempest attacked daventry and turned all it's inhabitants into stone, including the
royal family. It so happened that only one man managed to avoid the curse when he luckily
one of the five pieces of the mask. And that man is you...... You must now venture through the seven three-dimensionnal worlds in order to restore Daventry and revive its inhabitants.Meet dozens of characters in hundreds of places. Some will help you, some will to harm you.....The new thing in king's quest, besides its 3D environnement, are combats.Yes,there are combats in Mask of eternity.!Although it may annoy some of the series fans, the easy combat setting should turn the grief into fun,for they are simple and easy to control. The worlds of King's Quest are beautifully designed but some graphics problems occur. The soundtrack is enchanting and is about to ship on a audio CD.The major con in the game is the loading from one world to another. An overall reaction from critics would somehow oblige you not to miss the game. |
